Things you need to know about Spirit Airline

Spirit Airline is a low-cost US airline serving nearly 80 destinations throughout the United States, the Caribbean, Mexico, and South America. Following the launch of a complete renewal of its fleet in 2004, Spirit Airline currently has 154 aircraft. You can make spirit airlines reservations using dial phone number and online on a website.

Spirit Airline Flights - Book Tickets

Onboard SpiritAirlines aircraft, travelers only have one class. However, “Big Front Seats”, more comfortable seats offering more space (two seats per row instead of three), are available for reservation. More or less numerous depending on the aircraft model, they are at the head of the aircraft. A choice of food and drinks is offered for sale during the flight (payable by credit card only).

Loyalty program

Online flight check-in

After you check-in online, depending on the airline, you might be capable of printing your boarding pass, and save it on your cell phone, or collect it at the airport counter.

Airport check-in habitually starts two to three hours earlier flight departure.

You will require a boarding pass for going through security at the airport.

Make sure you arrive at the airport at least one to two hours before a domestic flight and at least two to three hours before an international flight.

Non-Refundable Fares: You will not get a refund if you cancel, but you may get a credit redeemable for a future flight. If you receive credit, be sure to read the procedure for booking a flight with airline credit.

Low-cost airlines

Low-costairlines, such as spirit, and Frontier, prefer to practice their alterationsand cancellations. You will be assisted to communicate with them. There is alist of airline phone numbers right there online.

Round-trip flights consisting of two one-way flights

If any of your flights are operated by a low-cost airline, such as Frontier or Spirit, you will need to contact the airline to cancel that flight. (They prefer to process these requests themselves.) You can cancel the other flight with us.

Spirit Airlines baggage policy and fees

Attention: max.40 x 35 x 30 cm free hand luggage allowed. That is smaller than usual internationally. You have to pay extra for larger hand luggage. Checked baggage prices vary widely here. It is assessed per bag/suitcase and route. Furthermore, a distinction is made between domestic and international flights, as well as between unchecked baggage (additional hand baggage) and the order in which suitcases are checked in one after the other. A distinction is also made depending on the type of reservation, place, and time. Discounted tariffs are available as a group or $ 9 Fare Club member! If you are overweight between 18and 23 kg, the fee is 25 USD / per case! If you are overweight between 23 - 32kg, the fee is 50 USD / per case! If you are overweight between 32 - 45 kg, the fee is 100.

Good to know

If you don't catch or miss your departure flight, the airline can cancel your return flight. Except you are booked in a return flight consisting of two one-way flights, as your tickets use to be then considered separate.
